I thought science was based on hard skeptical evidence gathering, not wishful thinking and leaps of faith. What are these darwinites really up to?

Evolution is an interesting thing. There really is not proof that it ever happened. A lot of evidence that indicates it could have happened, and perhaps was the most likely scenario, but they cannot yet show a case where one species has definitively changed into another, at any level on the food chain. But if you challenge them on it they will violently defend it like it was incontrovertible law based on this "it could have happened" anecdotal evidence. The defense of the thesis is far stronger than the evidence supports, but these people generally dont need evidence, they just believe. Hence my contention that Evolution is primarily a matter of faith, and hence a religion unto itself.

I, on the other hand, try to be more objective. Could it have happened? Sure, it seems possible. Call me when you've proved it did, not that it might have.

Actually, there is no way to prove that yesterday happened.

Well, since water can run uphill, why can't the development of organisms? All you need is a few billion years, sunshine and a lot of luck. Want to by stock in

Perhaps not, but then maybe you could provide a definitive explanation on how the horse and ass can mate to produce the mule. Seems to me to be a pretty strong prima facia case of the evolution of two species from one.
