Yeah, yeah, must be some skull and crossbones tri-lateral commission NWO blackmail thing. Maybe Kissinger resigned so as to be able to put the hammer to Nickles and any other "true" conservative.
Or maybe Nickles read the landscaped and found that he wouldn't be able to pull 26 votes.
Anyway, I'll clarify by saying that with Frist, Santorum, or even Kay Bailey, we can't lose(each has their advantages). Remember, their are other GOP Senate leaders besides the ML, its a team. With Lott doing the right thing and staying in the Senate, I think conservatives are in a good position now(considering the 51-49 split, existing political split in the general public, and the current great need to better educate the populace about what conservatism is actually about, as opposed to the media portrayals and stereotypes.)

Also, I'm frankly glad to see Lott go, but am not thrilled to see him go in this manner, which will only serve to embolden the race-baiting Democrats.
