People on this site sometimes lose sight of what is important.

It's the AGENDA that needs to get passed so what if it is done with a Moderate Republican voice......as long as the AGENDA gets passed!

Repeat after me everyone....It's the Agenda!!!

Not the face pushing the AGENDA!!!!!

Look, Don Nickles is about as conservative as they come in the US Senate. I would have been happy with him as ML. Mr. Nickles thought Frist would make for a fine ML and endorsed him. That should count for a lot, IMHO. A ML's job is to enact the GOP Caucus' agenda, not his own.

thanks to you people

Oh shut up.

Some of us understand what is important here. If you want to take your cookies and go home, please do so, and allow the adults to move forward.

Do you do anything else but whine, Todd?

Frist is greatly responsible for our new Senate Majority, in case you didn't know, and he has the respect of the President, who last time I checked was running things.

We know you think you know best, but you are not in office in order to prove it.

From The American Experience on Ronald Reagan...

Some of Reagan’s actions as governor would seem surprising from the perspective of the conservative agenda of his presidency. Governor Reagan signed a permissive abortion bill. Although he viewed homosexuality as "an abomination" on religious grounds, he was reluctant to make pronouncements against individuals. Later, in 1978, he spoke out against California's Briggs proposition, which would prohibit homosexuals from classroom teaching. The proposition was defeated.

Well, that's enough for me. This Reagan guy is obviously a flaming RINO!! :)P

That's fast...

It needs to get out of the (R) court fast, in order to allow the democrats and the Black Congressional Congress to over-play their hand, with this tar baby!

They are reportedly going to try and tar the whole Republican party with the racist brush, let them try... overplay... and learn another hard lesson. It will be fun to watch Maxine and others like Jesse and Al to try and outdo each other!

That said, Freepers should be vigilant and a call to Frist's office to freep him to get PBA at the top of the agenda would not be a bad thing, but a great thing. I do not believe Nickles would endorse someone he thought would be a mushy moderate, however.

Yep, in addition to Senator Lott's other failings, shortcomings and all round miserable persona, he had an early vote for majority leader. Now, if the media is to be believed, the good guys are having an early vote before their guy gets undone by a severe back wound. Republicans just cain't help being republicans.

It doesn't matter if there's only one candidate and everyone plans to vote for him, which is the case here.
