And de Tocqueville's observation is interesting.
I have lived and worked in NYC ever since and some things have changed...
I don't doubt that Black people can learn, I just wonder why they refuse to...
Black kids that try are harrassed for being 'white'...
I am 6'4" and still nervous on the Subway!!
This is not meant to deny that racism exists in the US, but anyone who has traveled abroad knows that America is remarkably non-racist compared to other countries.
What, are they crazy? The cause is clear and unambiguous. The ultra-left wing, extremists liberals and their neo-socialist buddies, the unions, the dems, and academia decided years ago that black kids were too stupid and their black teachers, so inept, that they had to be exposed to white students to learn. Whites didn't like this kind of servitude and, as they did not share the ambition of the lefties (who sent THEIR kids to private schools), simply moved away, leaving big cities far more and irremedially segregated than before.
There can be little discussion of race today because the lefties who control the dicussion believe that blacks aren't racist and that only whites can be. Starting with this bias, makes discussion difficult.
There is white racism, I'll admit. For example, all the black members of Congress are segregated into the racially restricted Congressional Black Caucus. The sign on the CBC's private office says, "Colored Only," a very disturbing message in this day and age.
