They were there during Gulf War I as well. It was their job to operate the Patriots that got most of the scuds. That'll be their job this time too and they'll do their job well. I seriously doubt they are being used as "human shields" since the Iraquis won't care about "human shields" only people who value life care about things like that.

We're not using our troops as human shields. The patriot missiles need our troops to man them; to deploy the missles. Since when does that mean our troops are "human" shields ...???
