Criminal gangs get their incentive through prohibition. Can you imagine anyone going to "war" over liquor distribution today? Same thing with pot.

Good thing pot is illegal. If it were legal these gangs would be using much heavier weapons, like beer distributors do in their incredibly bloody gang wars.

3.) Then ban it from New York city bars and restaurants;-)
People who want to smoke dope will smoke dope. The importation of it will continue to fuel corruption and bribery and these insane homicidal gang wars. I am simply no longer willing to let my tax dollars fund a pointless war on some drugs that makes the political management of the Vietnam War by a bunch of empty suits seem masterful by comparison.
