For those who are unfamilier, the Post is the home to the world's most famous gossip page, "Page Six." Frequently they post "blind" gossip items under the heading "just asking" and its up to the reader to figure out who they are talking about. Take your best shot.

I would have guessed Trent Lott, but the man in question is described as "powerful."

I'm still waiting for quid pro quo a la Trent Lott from the Black Caucus.

You would think they would demand the resignation of an actual sheet wearing KKK Senator who is fourth(?) in line for the Presidency.

It is time for Robert "Sheets" Byrd to resign his seat in the United States Senate.

Best regards,

It was Mikulski, before the sex-change.

Bump

They typically give you clues in these things, but none are jumping out at me.

"Powerful" would seem to indicate someone of some stature, either in terms of seniority, leadership post, or committee chair.

Its someone who has been around a bit given the word "ancient".

About a week ago, I heard Neal Boortz mention this on his radio show. I was just on a short drive and missed the identification (if any was even given). The next day I searched his website (Neal's Nuze) to no avail. Talk about a teaser, this is a good one!

Of course! Now I get it! This is about Washington!

It could be any number of powerful politicians embarrassed to be caught having sex with another man-Feinstein, Hillary, Eva Clayton...

Thank you for making that more clear.

Best regards,

Would Barney be described as "powerful" though?

It's Lott. That's why he punted on the Clinton impeachment.

I don't care who it was. I just hope Begala was the other guy getting "corn holed."

He was supposedly held by cops

He would presumably have enjoyed that part of the process.

I don't even have a clue as to the identity, but given it's "The Washington comPost", here are some parameters:

1. He's not a Republican or conservative.
2. He's not a white male
3. He's not one who claims to be a Christian.

If he were any of those, his name would have been published in the article.

Oops, how did I miss that.

That kinda changes things, doesn't it? The NY Post has been known to be "politically incorrect" at times, so in reference to my previous post, I'll do my best Gilda Radner impression:

Never mind!
