DEADLY VIRUSES: ISLAMIC JIHAD AND THE COMEBACK KID

By Francis Martel

While you watch the horribly sad images of Kosovo refugees on CNN, and see Clinton's mawkish, play-angry speeches about socking the Serbs to keep grocery prices down, it may be worth remembering that Melissa is not the only nasty little virus. Consider the filterable Clinton egotoxin, which uses mock emotions to enter any communications system and erase all factual information not in its grandiose interest. Viral profile: it always comes back.

Another is the Islamic Jihad virus, which enters any political system and creates tiny Islamic statelets whose aim is totalitarian dominance. Known since the 6th century in the Middle East, the Islamic Jihad, which nearly conquered the West a number of times, went dormant after a decisive defeat of the Muslims at the Gates of Vienna in 1683 by Christian armies. Viral profile: when re-awakened, reduplicates aggressively in any environment.

Both viruses flood the host system with a soporific that paralyzes the victim's ability to question until it's almost too late. Mix the two, and you have a recipe for an apocalyptic disaster that may make 1999 as significant as 1683.

The Clinton egotoxin erases even the most obvious questions that a normally rational immune system would ask. For example, the question asked rather potently by a U.S. Senator in a hearing in late March as the administration beat its war drums. As reported by Tony Snow in the New York Times, the Senator wanted to know just how big this genocide was that demanded our attacking a sovereign country? What were the figures on the massacres in Kosovo? The answer: the violent death rate in Kosovo was about the same as in Atlanta. More have died in a single day in East Timor or Rwanda.

Hmmm. If that's true, who caused the carnage we're now watching?

Or consider the question put by Rafael Israeli in the Jerusalem Post: if an increasing Mexican population in southern California or a growing Arab community in southern France declared its will to secede by violence, would Mexico or Algeria be entitled to bomb Los Angeles or Marseilles? But in Kosovo, an immigrant population from Albania has agitated violently for independence, and NATO, pushed by Bill Al-Clinton, is attacking the legitimate government of Serbia.

The trouble with such anti-viral questions is that they multiply. As the bombing fails (or can it be called a failure if it's working for Slobodan Milosevec's goal of emptying Kosovo of Albanians?), talk increases of arming the KLA so they can overthrow the Serbian government. Question: if we arm the KLA, what are we arming?

The Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA-or, in Albanian, UCK) appeared in Macedonia in 1992. Inspired by the success of the Bosnian Serbs at gaining their own quasi-state in the Dayton Peace Accords, and angered by Milosevic's revocation of Kosovo's partial autonomy, the KLA became a radical organization that terrorized Serbian police and civilians in 1995.

By 1998, the KLA was launching 1126 terrorist attacks in a 10-month period, killing 150 people, in addition to kidnapping 208 (figures from James Rubin, Department of State). When Serbia responded to terrorism with force, the genocide word rattled through the networks, and the present crisis unfolded.

The goal of the KLA was the creation of a greater Albania, a new Islamic nation comprising Albania, Kosovo, and Macedonia. They intended to free themselves from Serbia via a bloody campaign, which included forming secret cells in the Yugoslavian army, taking over Serbian lands by manipulating public funds, poisoning wells, knifing and raping, and burning crops. As Serbian citizens fled such behavior, the KLA progressively gained its goal-an ethnically pure region ready for--

Hamas! Enter the Islamic Jihad virus. Hamas leaders are now preaching that the war against Serbia is a new Jihad fought against the Christian Crusaders. The people who brought us Iran, Afghanistan, and Bosnia are back with another holy war. With (since 1995) active support from Iran and Saudi Arabia, the KLA now contains mercenaries from Albania, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Afghanistan, Yemen, and the camps of Osama Bin Laden. The goal: a new wing of Islamic states across eastern Europe, linking Bosnia, Macedonia, and Albania, followed no doubt, by appeals to the fundamentalists in Turkey.

Aided by powerful public relations agencies fueled by petrodollars, the Islamic countries are using the current crisis to take up where the Battle of Vienna left off in 1683. Iranian agents operating in Kosovo help smuggle in arms and Islamic soldiers, and maintain training camps run by the mujahadeen in Albania.

If you are still awake, your own system has not been subdued by these twin viruses (nicely intertwined, I would imagine, like a double helix), and you may also be asking why should the United States support the international Islamic Jihad in building Islamic states in Europe? What, exactly, is the foreign policy of the United States? Why do we want to enter a religious war on the side of Islam? And why do the mainline media never ask these questions of the Comeback Kid?

It must be viruses in the system.

END.

We on the Right were right. Hell, we were prescient.

Aided by powerful public relations agencies fueled by petrodollars, the Islamic countries are using the current crisis to take up where the Battle of Vienna left off in 1683. Read about that here "GOLEM" (Serbs and Jews)

Clinton's BIN LADEN GATE

Well, I've been here arguing this case in FreeRepublic since before clinton attacked Yugoslavia, and I believe most Freepers agree with me. Regretably the Republicans in congress at the time didn't get it, and numerous neocons in places like the Weekly Standard still don't get it.

Not only was the NATO war against Yugoslavia unjust, illegal, immoral, and unprovoked, but we fought on the wrong side.

"Not only was the NATO war against Yugoslavia unjust, illegal, immoral, and unprovoked, but we fought on the wrong side."

But, had not Clinton attacked the Serbs, the media may have turned their attention to the impeachment evidence, the Cox Report or Juanita Broaddrick.

So, he did what he had to do. With the full support of the Democrats and the liberal media. And, regrettably, Senator McCain and a few neo-cons...

Never in my life have I been so embarrassed and ashamed of American foreign policy as in Kosovo.
