I pray all these whistle blower stories have been thoroughly investigated and hold water. One other reason to believe them is that these people have nothing to gain by coming forward and a lot to lose.

The tides are changing. Today, many people are at least somewhat accepting of abortion and the people who perform it; getting out now means the doctor will have only a mild blight on his record and will have some chance of establishing himself in another field. Those who continue practicing abortion while the tide shifts against it will, by contrast, find themselves with nothing.

The situation is much like that of crooks who sense the dragnet is closing in and suddenly start falling over themselves to implicate each other. While such action may not be morally praiseworthy, it should nonetheless be encouraged.

The pedophile priests should take a lesson from this guy. At least one of them should tell his whole story ("I raped over 15 young boys, so I should know something about pedophilia."). Given the same standard as the mass murderer in this story, our confessed priest would be given a warm welcome by the leaders of anti-pedophile community. He would be invited to speak at "Protect the children" conferences. Dr. Laura could invite the priest to speak on her shows.

Sounds fair enough. Let him do all that before he's brought in for trial for however many counts of child molestation.

Of course, in the abortion situation there's the problem that abortion is--like it or not--legal, and the prohibition against ex post facto legislation prevents going after any abortionists for doing things that were legal at the time.

What has always rendered me, at the same time, speechless and frothing at the mouth in anger, is that Liberals roundly condemn Hitler for killing 6 million or so innocents. Yet they and their camp followers are responsible for murdering some 45 + million innocents since Roe v Wade.
