Big and Bigger Lies
Arutz Sheva ^ | 23 December 2002 | Emanuel A. Winston

The first Big Lie is that the mix of Arab immigrants who adopted the name of Palestine and called themselves Palestinians are now, or ever were, a people of any recorded history. Nowhere, even in the Koran, is there any reference to such a body of people. No ruins, no folk tales, no recorded history, no stories of ancient battles - nothing - absolutely nothing.

Yasser Arafat, himself a composite of lies, was not born in Palestine, but in Egypt. Arafat tells us that he has had no connection with al-Qaeda. Since Arafat’s PLO has demonstrable links with the Tanzim military arm of Fatah, Hamas, Hezb’Allah, Islamic Jihad - all of whom act as proxies variously for Iran, Syria, Iraq, Libya - this declaration of separation from al-Qaeda is laughable. Arafat may have the world’s record for lying to other Arabs, to the Europeans, to America and, mostly, to the Israelis.

It appears that, as before, Arafat has been given pre-prepared statements by Arabists in the U.S. State Department. Let us recall how often Arafat was urged (pressured) by the pro-Arab State Department to make reluctant statements, after a particularly heinous genocide bombing in Israel (and against other Israeli or Jewish targets in the world), that he condemns such acts of terrorism. Scrubbing Arafat clean is a time-consuming and fruitless task, given that the filth of this creature is beyond skin-deep, but the State Department keeps trying. Now, with the Bush "Road Map" on the horizon, calling for the re-partition of Israel, Arafat has to be separated from the terrorist organization of al-Qaeda and from Osama bin Laden if he and his Arab Palestinians are to be the recipients of chunks of Israel.

If the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) and Gaza, the Golan Heights and half of Jerusalem are to be made Judenrein (Jew-free), as a gift to Arafat’s Arab ‘Palestinians’, Arafat and his Arab ‘Palestinians’ need to be cleaned up. At the time Israeli territory is to be transferred, if Arafat shows up dirty, it could cancel the deal. While his operational connections with Saddam Hussein, Hezb’Allah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, et al has not made him treif (non-Kosher or un-clean) in the eyes of the Bush family and the State Department, his connections to bin Laden and al-Qaeda would present certain problems for the "Road Map" gang - called the Quartet.

I am somehow reminded of other quartets, of Jewish musicians, forced to play calming music at the entrance to the death camp of Auschwitz, in order to mask the horror awaiting the Jews as they passed through that infamous gate. Once again, a new Quartet will play music for the Jews should they choose to walk through the wrong gate.

The "Road Map" is being put forward by the Bush administration, especially Secretary of State Colin Powell, and the Russians, Europeans and United Nations - all of whom are resting on the pretense that there is a legal basis to their diktats. This, of course, deliberately ignores prior commitments of the League of Nations in 1922 for a Jewish Homeland. It ignores the Arab States rejection of the U.N. partition of 1948 and their pledge to destroy the Jewish nation-state immediately upon her re-birth. It ignores the creation of Transjordan from land that was supposed to be 75% of the Jewish Homeland, as compensation to Prince Abdullah for his having been ejected from Saudi Arabia. It ignores the fact that the Arab aggressors lost land that they gambled when they attacked the Jewish state and lost. The Jews have every right to keep this land. There were successive attacks by the surrounding Arab nations - along with continuous, unremitting terrorism - minimally, since the birth of the State, but actually long before that.

The Arabs still have the same pledge to commit genocide against the Jewish remnant in Israel, yet they continually lost more land Now, they want it back - with the help of President Bush - so they can continue their Jihad as they have pledged to Allah to bring Islam to the whole world.

The Bush Quartet "Road Map" skips over the hard realities and facts of history. With the supreme arrogance of those in power and with self-serving motivation, the "Road Map" is designed to erase history and Israel along with it. This is to be the legacy for a born-again George Bush to deal with.

Laundering Arafat seems to be the pre-occupation of the U.S. State Department, and now the Quartet, especially in anticipation of the Bush "Road Map." For years. the State Department has twisted itself into knots, lying about Arafat’s ‘compliance’ with the moribund Oslo Accords and about his Arab ‘Palestinians’. Now, he is to be cleaned of his connections to al-Qaeda. This parallels the Bush family’s efforts to protect Saudi Arabia from the righteous anger of the American people and Congress for betraying our nation. As Bush Sr. said to the Saudi king in a telephone conversation, "Not to worry, because my son George will treat you right."

Hopefully, President George W. Bush will retain the ethics that comes with a ‘re-birth’ and not be drawn back into the ethics of his father vis a vis Israel.
