"The left ear's the right ear and the right ear's the wrong ear."

That's an easy way to remember.

I've been wearing my wedding ring on my right hand for 24 years, because I got married in the Orthodox Church.

LOL, bet that explains a lot of "strange" conversations you've had over the past 24 years.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is asked the following question at a press conference by a young aggressive reporter:

Given that the spending on the homeless in your district is 200 million, or about 20K per homeless victim, how do you respond to the following

a) The hotel industry that is asking for relief in as much the homeless detract from the appeal of San Francisco, reduce profits and jobs,...and seek enforcement of present law given the present budget

b) The homeless advocates who want to tax the hotel industry, 20K dollars a homeless victim isn't enough...

"The left ear's the right ear(But for whom, Straight or Gay?) and the right ear's the wrong ear."(But for whom, Gay or Straight?)

I hate riddles.;-)

Now give it to me straight. Is it
Straight=Left ear?
Gay=right ear?

I think if you are homosexual, anything goes.
Hence, the "riddle" has no meaning for homosexuals.

The way I understand it is that the rule is different in different parts of the country, or it was like 20 years ago ... it doesn't really have any meaning today.

But you can always play it safe and just wear a nose ring, LOL.

"You're right about the money...we could have given them $26,000 a year...but unfortunately...its about full employment for do-gooders."

The last I looked, the average government program aimed at poverty/welfare/homelessness incurred an overhead of about 85%.

Assuming San Francisco is average in this respect, it means that roughly $170 million of the city's spending on "homelessness" is going to the bureaucracy and the contractors involved in performing services.

Thus, while the gross outlay per homeless person is estimated at $20,316 (per antaresequity), the net income to the homeless person would be around $3047 -- not far from ALS's cite of $360/month.

Thus, Sawool is correct. Most of San Fran's expenditures for homelessness are, in fact, absorbed by the bureaucracy and do-good NGOs providing services.

Like any other liberal program, to paraphrase, "It's not about the homeless. It's about our power! And feelings..."

i'm having a blast pimpslapping some fruitloop back into a clue.

Some freaky stuff over there. SF is a lost cause in my eyes, it's probably better to permit CA to hit the bottom of the barrel but good in order to set an abject example of the failures of liberal social policy and politics. It's a self resolving issue. If it becomes a "third-world" area, unable to support itself or subsidize others, then there will be no real reason for illegals and homeless to go there or remain.

Of course they'll try to come here next.

DOUBLE "DUH"!!

It's obvious that the print was added to the photograph digitally. So therefore, it is entirely possible that the image has been "flipped".

Pretty embarrassed now, aren't you? Remember that the next time you're so eager to jump on someone with one of your cute little "Duh" posts...

I believe you're correct in your conclusion that the photo was flipped. Take a close look at his watch. Winding stems and other miscellaneous buttons are universally placed on the "3 o'clock side" of a wristwatch. If you were to place a watch on your righthand wrist with the stem and buttons pointing toward your hand, as seen in the picture, the watch would be upside down!
