Our nation's capital was blessed with a light snowfall last night that gave those of us still in the city a taste of a 'White Christmas.'
By morning, the snow was gone with the rain, but while it lasted it was magical.
We hope you enjoy this photo tour of the national Christmas trees at the White House and Capitol.
Merry Christmas, and God Bless us, everyone.

Thanks! Next year we'll make gingerbread houses. Promise.

Thanks for the beautiful photos. Question though....are they ALL real or did you slip some "miniatures" in there too? :)

Merry Christmas guys, and gals. Thanks for all you've done throughout the year, here at FR; and thank your families for all of us, for their putting up with the time you all spend in helping keep FR the best on the web.

The trees and the landmarks are the real deal. The miniatures are from the model train displays that are at the base of the White House Christmas tree on the Ellipse.
I had fun taking the pictures, even though we froze our toes and were soaked to the bone by the time we were finished. Merry Christmas!

Thank you for your hard work this year. Sorry I could not be with you in body - I assure you, I was there in spirit.
Merry X-Mass.

Well, sorry about your frozen toes but want you to know we appreciate all those wonderful photos and your efforts to get them to the rest of us. The "minatures" were cute ... wish we could have seen the tree in person but thanks to you we did see it online.
Thanks again and not only Merry CHRISTmas but Happy New Year too! :)

RE: the signifigance of the Iowa Christmas ornament: It appears to be Iowa State fans doing the wave after a victory over the Hawkeyes. ;~)

You guys (and gals) are the BEST ! I was completely surprised by the bonus pictures... You (all) make me proud. Tremendous freep of smegma (Michael Moore) ! Imagine my surprise (on Christmas no less) when I stumbled upon the gomer being freeped at his own "premier" ? Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The scenes of DC were very nice as well. Reminded me of the inauguration... bbbrrrrrrrrr

Thanks, Takoma, for posting this. It is a perfect way to end a very nice Christmas day.
Kristinn, and all, I love the way you are fighting for our Second Amendment rights. Thanks for taking it to Mr. Moore's slimey movie, and hopefully, helping to make people think seriously about the garbage they are seeing.
Hope to see you all at CPAC!

Thank you so much for the presentation of Washington DC at Christmas time. My son and I were in and around the city at sunset this evening and you got the pics of some of what we saw. Merry Christmas to all.
