Lets talk about things which are more recent, shall we? How about the century of apartheid, which only ended in our lifetime?
How do you view the ideology and practices of people who are still alive and able to be scolded for racist actions?
Excuse me, but the founders fought a war in 1776 that was exactly the same - slavery was here long before the Confederacy seceded. But despite the rhetoric and vitriol posted by the Lincolnites, the objection is not that slavery ended, only that HOW it ended was the problem. The North had slaves, sailed to Africa to bring them here - with thousands dying in "Middle Passage", then sold those surviving and made millions. First they got their money - then they got morals.
140 years after the war, Lincolnites would have us believe that the North was without sin, and that Lincoln was a member of the Holy Trinity - incapable of error or sin.

Neither the North nor South is without blemish, and it is usless to pretend otherwise.

I do not share their beliefs, and racism/racial superiority is wrong no matter who practices it. FWIW, I believe that we are ALL made in God's image, that we all descended from the same parents - Adam and Eve. God's grace saved me, and will save all who ask - no matter what color their skin.
