The nuclear club spread far and wide during the Clinton-Gore-Clinton administration. In my opinion, it's no accident.

I believe that the spread of NBC weapons across the globe is part of a plan to re-create the balance of terror in the world. The U.S.A. must be contained at any cost, and not be allowed to spread it's version of Democracy.

Liberals have always sought to reduce the lead the U.S. had over less capable nuclear equipped adversaries.

Remember the "mutually assured destruction" mantra the liberals pontificated in the 70s, I believe? This treatise proclaimed that the world was a much safer place when the U.S. was faced by a equal but opposite array of nuclear weapons. Somehow the liberals believed that our enemies slept easier if they had megaweapons aimed at the U.S. but would never use them.

So it is not suprising that the Clintonistas let the WMDs proliferate with a wink and a handshake. Besides the CinC had more pleasant activities to attend to.
