COVERUP OF THE YEAR

December 30, 2002 -- Time magazine chose three female "whistleblowers" as its "Person of the Year" for 2002.

One is Coleen Rowley, the Minneapolis FBI official who wrote a memo upbraiding Washington for halting the probe of Zacarias Moussaoui, the alleged "20th hijacker." Time's editors call her "the FBI's public conscience... 'The bureau could be great,' was her message, if only it put the goal of protecting Americans above the goal of protecting itself, if only agents were not rewarded for sitting still."

I don't think there are any grounds for foreign nationals to receive protection under the Constitution at all - "unreasonable" searches included. The Constitution is there to protect "The People", which the SC has ruled implies US citizenship.

Americans abroad receive no protection under the laws of the countries we visit - we have to rely on *our* government to intervene on our behalf. The principle goes all the way back to Rome - when a Roman citizen visited abroad, any indignities visited up on him were viewed as an affront to the Empire.

With our present Government, while we cannot count on the benefit of American military force if we're kidnapped or robbed in some third-world Schumerhole, our Government concomitantly agonizes over the arguably legally nonexistent "Rights" of alien Islamic suicide bombers present in our country.

And I'm supposed to take this Government seriously?

At the time Zacarias Moussaoui was arrested, liberal forces went to work to see that he would "have his day in court". The same forces that opposed President Bush from the get go, trying to thwart any and all protection of Americans in the after math of 9/11. When did alien criminals get the right to their "day in court"?

I believe Ashcroft was prevented from acting correctly in this matter by the liberals demanding rights for Moussaoui and those combatants sent to Guantanamo. The judge in the Moussaoui court should never have granted the man all she has, he is not stupid as the libs and the press would have us believe. In his cleverness at using American jurisprudence, he has proved himself a most able and cunning lawyer. I still say the carpet should be yanked out from under him and he be treated as any other criminal who wants America’s demise, he is an illegal alien being treated as if he were some kind of a hero.

A whistleblower truly is a courageous person who is not afraid to tell the truth when actions of others are in violation of the law. They are people who won’t play the game. You could call those now coming forward, trying to stem the flow of illegal immigrants crossing our borders in ever increasing numbers, because the government won’t, Whistleblowers. Arizona’s new governor has said it is a federal problem, letting Arizonians blow in the wind but not the alien, they are now represented by not only diplomats and conciliates, they have a 100 member council of lawyers from other countries, mainly Mexico to represent them before they are citizens, while they are illegal aliens. Our politicians and our government have once again breached our Sovereignty.

This is the Demon-Crat way. They create the problem and when it explodes they try and blame the Republicans. For the life of me I dont see how they have what following they do unless they vote more dead people than I even realize.
The Demoncrats have torn down our National Security,sold or gave away all of our Nuclear Secrets,gotten into bed with Bin-Laden,North Korea and behind closed doors ridicule minorities and have the nerve to try and lay it on the Republicans.
On top of that they are against businesses which produce most of the taxes in this country ,then they sell the average Joe on Lawyers and "THEIR SYSTEM of JUST-US", you know the system that protects the criminal at the expense of the average citizen,the same system that allows the lawyers to get rich at the expense of those who have been wronged and in turn the lawyers get the majority of the settlements and the rest goes to the states with the victim getting nothing the same way it happens in the Criminal JUST-US System.
Either Amercia has become stupid or the Demoncrats really resurrect the dead at election time.
