Espionage,whether discovered immediatly or years from now are always percieved as cowardly or dastardly.Be a man just do what is right and be proud it was done.Let the whole world know we did what needed to be done and it will be a deterent for the next tyrant.

Except the world won't see it as us doing what needs to be done, the world will see it as American imperialism dictating who can and can't have the tools necessary to defend themselves. Best to be sneaky and leave doubt, just like a quiet mob hit everybody will "know" but they won't be able to "prove" and that's the important part. Diplomacy isn't about being a man, diplomacy is abot only getting into wars when it's important and on your own terms.
