Sen. Clinton calls for tighter border security
Tuesday December 31, 2002
(New York-AP) -- Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton says the current search for five men who may have slipped into the country highlights the need to bolster security along the country's northern border.
Clinton said she plans to reintroduce legislation creating a position within the Department of Homeland Security that would be solely responsible for security along the Canadian border.
Clinton said the search by the F-B-I for five Middle Eastern men who are believed to be in the United States shows the government needs to pay more attention to its northern border.
Meanwhile, Homeland Security issued a low-level security alert to New York's ports early today, but the time for the supposed danger passed without incident.
Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said security has been heightened at New York Harbor because of the earlier safety concern. Pleasure craft are restricted from the harbor and more police vessels have been deployed.

... bolster security along the country's northern border.Let's see, they had forged passports. At least our northern border checks for passports!! Our southern boader is crossed hundreds of thousands a time every year by people without even being seen. Just think of what weapons and terrorists are walking across that border every day. Why smuggle an anti-aircraft missle though customs, when you can drive it across the Mexican border?

Tighten the borders, even if Hillary agrees. I'd be impressed except when she was co-president, the borders were opened about as far as they possibly could be. WHEN does she think all the 20 million illegals from Mexico and who knows how many Middle Eastern terrorists entered? Not all were just from Bush's administration.

Now I'm concerned. This cretin actually said something with which I agree?
I think I have a fever.

Does anyone remember the "brilliant" rove/bush "strategery" of "stealing issues" from democrats? Every time bush would cave in and do something like increase education spending, federalize airline workers, support Campaign finance Reform, we would call this a "brilliant plan" to "take issues away from the democrats"...
Who wants to bet that this will be the one issue he will steer clear of?

Obviously the b!tch reads Free Republic. She knows it's a conservative hot button. But Hill baby, don't waste your stinking breath trying to make us think that somehow you give a rat's @$$ for this country. A lot of people are not as stupid as you think.
