Shari'a = Misogyny (Religion of Peace is THE LAW <snort>)

Shari'a = Misogyny

A French businesswoman in Dubai was gang-raped by three men who offered her a ride home from a nightclub. When she reported the crime immediately to the police, they confiscated her French passport and arrested her—for adultery under shari'a law.

Touria Tiouli, 39, from Limoges, in France, has had her passport confiscated and cannot leave Dubai after being charged under the emirate's Sharia law.

This declares any sexual relationship outside marriage to be illegal.

Mme Tiouli was on a business trip last October when, she alleges, she was raped by three men who offered her a lift home from a nightclub.

She reported the attack immediately to the Dubai police, who after investigating her claim arrested her rather than those she accused.

One of the men admitted to having "consensual sex" with Mme Tiouli, which made her, in the eyes of Dubai's judiciary, guilty of both adultery and making a false rape accusation. She could face up to 18 months in prison. None of the men has been charged.

Understand? I heard she's heading over there now - most American rapists won't touch her with an 8" pole...

Under Sharia law, in any conflict between a Muslim and an infidel, the infidel loses.

Many road, schools, hospitals and DAY CARE CENTERS have been built in countries that follow Sharia'h Law.

We should learn from them.

If that is intended as tongue in cheek, I didn't get it, You may have omitted the < sacrasm > tags.

< sacrasm > If not, yes, I have noticed the generally better infrastructure in Pakistan, Yemen, Nigeria, etc. than in say, the United States. < /sacrasm >

Check out some of the comments here from Muslims and former Muslims. Especially the latter part of the thread

Shari'a = Misogyny

I, as a Muslim, can testify to what Brown Finger says in #66. After the DC snipers was found to be a convert to Islam (or at least the Nation of Islam), the only thing that seemed important in the editorials the mosque wrote to the newspaper was that the snipers not be seen as typical of Muslims, that they had been taught wrongly about Islam, that they was giving Islam a bad image, etc.

One incident that kind of threw me for a loop was an interdenominational Thanksgiving Day service held in a synagogue, in which members of all religions were invited to participate, including Muslims. The imam invited me to go along. I was the only other Muslim to attend, since there were no announcements about it at the mosque. While walking to the synagogue, and talking about the it, he mentioned that Jews were "the worst of all people" (very in-keeping with other statements). Later, he said that the reason for attending was so that Islam would not be represented by the Ahmadiyyas or a Submitter-type sect, which are considered to be so heretical they are outside Islam, and people would not get the wrong idea about Islam from them.

Your average pious Muslim can't see how anybody exposed to Islamic beliefs could possibly reject it, so those who do are obviously evil "enemies of Allah" destined for hell. Maybe not in so many words, but Islam seems so self-evident, so much like the natural order of things it's hard to conceive of anyone rejecting it. ("Who does more wrong that one who tells a lie against Allah or rejects his signs?" Quran 7:37). The Muslim brotherhood trumps all else; non-Muslims don't really enter into the equation at all. It's like Brown Finger says above, there's just no interest in them at all. ("You (Muslims) are the best of all people." 3:110) The same goes for interest in and knowledge of other religions. Many Muslims are convinced that Christians who really knew their Bible would immediately abandon such notions as Trinity and Jesus being the Son of God, and would come to see Muhammad as the Paraclete foretold in the gospels (as was the subject of a recent Friday sermon at my mosque). In fact, the imam said that the best present you could give a Christian at Christmas was the truth of Islam (actual words).

I actually converted to Islam several years ago and now I'm not sure if that was the right thing to do or not. There are still many things about the religion that I do like, but the other things just weigh too heavily on my mind. I'm not really sure what to do. Please pardon for burdening you with my personal problems and the length of this post.

But there are a lot of mosques, and not all of them are Islamofascist.

You are exactly right, Colt. Not all of them are Islamofascist, but a vast majority of American Muslims are bigots and care not for the innocent people that are killed in the name of their religion. The first thing out of their mouths when a terrorist threat or strike occurs is "What's this going to do to me?", or "Oh no! There's going to be a backlash!".

It's never, "We need to go out and show our goodwill to our fellow citizens and mourn publicly for the victims.". Never. Not inside the Mosque or outside. Non-Muslims are, subhuman is too strong of a word, more like idiots and fools. It's not that they all wish death on infidels, it's that dead infidels are like roadkill. They simple don't have any feelings on the matter, at best.

That's why, after years and years of being in the United States, I realized that Muslim values are not American values, and they probably never will be...

That was a good post and very revealing. It just reinforces everything I have heard from the mouths of Muslims. Personally, I think any woman should totally reject Islam. Islam has no respect for any human that is not Muslim (and even some that are) but women are the lowest on the totem pole. What I don't understand is all of the feminists don't seem to care how Muslims treat and view women. You think they, of all people, would be the ones screaming the loudest!

Oh, but that would take actual W-O-R-K and R-I-S-K on their part. SOOOOOooo much easier to pick on private golf clubs in the USA- those guys won't stone anyone, though I would not be surprised if they snapped one day and did just that.

How are the roads? AR, MS, and LA(lower Arkansas) could use some expertise in that field. Lord knows our hospitals are probably vastly inferior to those of our muslim "friends", eh? I will admit that our day care center technology may be lagging, but I don't know for certain. Schools? Well, we are trying to get up to speed on the Christian/Jew bashing. Baby steps, for now.
