Good Post. Isn't it interesting that some Americans are so cerebral. They weigh in from thousands of miles away on how the Arizona-border land owners should behave.
Two things to consider:
1) Waving a copy of the Constitution at the people entering the USA illegally will accomplish nothing. As far as that goes, waving it at out elected officials also does nothing.
2) If it was your land being trashed, your dog poisoned, your house looted, your children with guns pointed at them, do you really think you could just sashay to the office every day without worrying.
It's common liberal misunderstanding that al quida, radical muslim terrorists, saddam insane, illegals crossing the border, and etc. are all honorable, smart humans who, if we just take the time to explain things to them nicely, will all see the light, hang up their guns, and go back home peacefully. Don't bet your children's lives on it folks.
The UN people don't believe that Iraq is really shooting at American planes in the no-fly zones. So far, none of these UN people have volunteered to fly a Cessna there to prove it.
Similarly, the cerebral types in the cities have loads of advice for the Arizona land owners. I am suggesting that you would have a tougher perspective if you were in their shoes.
I am astonished that we are so quick to empathize with the bleeding heart headlines "Those poor thirsty illegals" and so slow to defend our own American brothers who's lives are at risk defending the little-published truth.
Lastly, none of my ranting will do much to convince anyone. The next attack will get some attention, depending on the severity, and then the seas will calm again. The difference in people's attitudes will come when they are victims.
I think the media is controlling the situation, "Nothing to see here folks, not that big of a problem, go back to your sitcom."

Hmmm, so there will be no citizen patrols in Kalifornia eh? And the sheriffs are going to make sure of this? Capture you bad Americans, throw you in jail?
At least now we know what they have time to do and not do. I hope there is a tenacious conservative lawyer keeping and eye on this.

So were're a Four Wheel Drive Geology group now. Good point. That's pretty much what Simcox's group is. There is NO LAW barring private individuals or organizations from hiking or 4-wheeling on public lands. And those individuals can openly carry their personal sidearms or carry a concealed weapon if they have a CCW license. If they happen to find an illegal alien they are then pretty much obligated by law to report the crime to the Border Patrol or other appropriate authorities. They are authorized, even, to make a citizen's arrest. There is nothing in the law about the intent of the group. So, be they birdwatchers, hikers, geology nuts or whatever they have the right to do what Simcox is doing.
Simcox would have had an easier time if he didn't initially use the politically charged term 'militia' to describe his group. He is now using a different term. However, he can't pretend he's simply going out there to hike or whatever because his primary goal in all this is to raise national attention to the issue. He's done that. The law still allows him and his group, just as it allows any other group, to do what he's doing. Of course, how long has it been since we've actually had the rule of law?

Score thirty illegals for Glenn Spencer and American Border Patrol!
INS just took them into custody. Map looks like they're about 15 - 17 miles northeast of Douglas. Spotted shortly after 11:00 by an ABP Hawkeye. The satellite cam was moved into position and the Border Patrol showed up at 12:09 to haul them away.
Hope Simcox is having similar luck.

Interesting, did the California border patrol say why they didn't want this to happen?

I believe the key is "property owners" or their employees can clean up anything they find such as these BS water caches for the illegals.
If such individuals placing such water caches are discovered . Fine em , sue em , charge them with littering , illegal dumping, highway mopery and any other blue law that one can find on the books. If they are part of a larger organization supporting such trespassing and illegal dumping sue them too.
Best part of this new era of homeland security is to charge them with aiding and supporting terrorist and terrorism by providing safe passage through illegal means.
Illegal immigration is financial terrorism on the legal immigrants and citizens of this nation and it's infastructure. I commend and support 100% those trying to stop such legally.
Stay Safe !

That IS an invasion, of a sort, yes, but that's not the "invasion" that people here mostly talk about.
Mostly, they're concerned about the "invasion" of bus-boys, chamber-maids and restaurant waiters coming to take our welfare dollars.

Yes, it IS that simple. It's all about politics and politicians. They will respond to where they think the votes are.
This "invasion" is taking place more because we haven't the political will to monitor our borders than for any other reason under the sun.

It's also happening because of unscrupulous employers, such as you, who hire them.

Michelle Malkin will do more than the idiotic and non-performing politicians to bring home to the American people the need for LEGAL and CONTROLLED immigration, which most Americans support anyway. Ms. Malkin has, what most politicians lack, good old American common sense. She's one great American!

If you make them go all hallucination on someone, they'll stand out more.

You are telling me if I owned land and someone tresspassed illegally putting water bottles on "MY" land it would be attempted murder to remove them?
Give this person a break -- the illegals are breaking the law as is the person who leaves the bottles. They can go back to where they came from because the bottles are for their trip across the dessert in our Country.
Are you some bleeding heart liberal?
