In my mind if CNN wants to be successful in the future, they need to dump Woodruff and Blizter. Get them out of there and put in someone somewhat balanced and intelligent. They are both Democratic mouthpieces. And the Democrats say they have no media personalities. They do, the problem is nobody wants to listen. Oh well, I guess they will never figure it out.

I've heard of Garrick Utley and Bruce Morton. They will not be missed. Can't say I've heard of the others.Perhaps they'll find employment in Cuba, China, Or North Korea, so they won't be collecting unemployment comp in US.

CNN, which once enjoyed a monopoly on cable news, averaged 536,000 viewers during the programming day in 2002, compared to 667,000 for FNC, which for some strange reason is still carried by fewer cable companies. Maybe because AOL/Time Warner owns many of the holdout cable systems?

Woofwoof is probably responsible for more listeners turning out than all the other hosts together.

No doubt. Blitzer is pretty bad but Woodroof is the worst! Don't care much for that idiot Bill Schneider either. What a crew.

I believe I heard that also, and think the network was ABC. Wouldn't they make a great couple?....couple of.....ABC is the network - they've been in on again - off again talks that are currently off...I think it would be a match made in heaven - folks I know who have worked at CNN think it's rather a Mickey Mouse operation already...

Yes, quite possibly one of the stupidest moves Fox News made all year was sending Laurie Dhue to Jordan. Sometimes you have to shake your head and wonder.

If the merger goes through, does that mean Georgie Steponallofus gets to replace Wolf Blitzer for the Sunday show?
To: aristeides
Bruce Morton has a great broadcasting voice.

Did you see Judy Woodruff tonight? Hair freshly colored and more makeup than usual. A change for the better, but it still didn't improve her performance.

Uttley and Morton do not lean left, they are supporting the leftfield wall.

A CBS refugee is starving to death in the promised land.
I forsee in the glass darkly, a new face on the history channel.

I don't know if Fox is populist (Top rated O'Reilly certainly is populist). It is just that Fox certainly is not predominately Republican, which is lie perptuated by spoiled, whining democrats used to complete control of the media.

I think maybe she volunteered. The only to get the ribbon is to be in theatre.
BTW, I have decided she is offputting.... what did she do to her lips?

Yes, quite possibly one of the stupidest moves Fox News made all year was sending Laurie Dhue to Jordan. Maybe Laurie asked for that assignment. I get the impression that she wants to be something more than a news reader, although what she is doing over there so far amounts to reading the news from some hotel roof in Jordan. Send her to Iraq, I bet even Saddam would be tempted to give her an interview.
