Actually news this evening is that it may NOT have been and accident at all. There is going to be an autopsy to determine that... the boy was thirteen or older... fwiw... that's what we are getting now at the top of the hour reports...

The gun was reportedly, on a very high shelf, beyond the reach of the older kid... and it is being implied that he had to use something rather quickly in order to remove it from it's "safe" place, in mom and dad's bedroom, which is apparently suspicious to investigators...

The parents left them alone but for a few moments according to the radio station announcer... so the boy would have had to gone for the gun in a shorter period of time.... but that is just newsroom headline scuttlebut.

Sometimes kids of cops, like preachers kids, flip out for no apparent reason... One thing is for sure this whole story will be distorted every which way before the truth finally comes out.

Crazy times we live in.
Terrorists are our "friends" and allies.
Islam is PEACE.

And folks who KNOW better are doing the craziest things.

I realize we never know what goes in in someone else's home, but don't you think it is unlikely that this boy killed his sister on purpose? Large family, law-abiding Dad in the home, and a friend over........ a witness......

I think it is much more likely that the kid ran in there as soon as Mom and Dad were gone to SHOW his friend the gun..... showing off, as 13 year old boys do, it fired and accidently struck the sister......

Let me see;

We have had legal abortion for 30 years.

Marriage is 'throw away' just like everything else in this country.

Our public school system is a failure. Kids are just passed along even though they may be failing. Inner city schools are even worse, with drug dealing, sex in the schools and low attendance rates. I can say this because in my city only 55% of the kids enrolled in high school attend, the city has been in the state of 'academic emergency' for years. Middle school teachers tell me that at any given time they have about a dozen pregnant middle school girls. Not only have we had complaints about teachers engaging in sex in the schools, we have security video tape of middle school kids having sex in the schools. DURING SCHOOL. One of our high school teachers, who was a city councilman, and once led kids in a small 'riot' against us is currently under indictment for smoking pot with students and having sex with underage high school girls.

This has been going on since I was in school in California in the 60's.

College now seems to be an indoctrination for liberal ideology and feel good politics rather than learning. Not to mention the party attitude.

On television our kids are filled with a steady diet of violence and hedonism.

Religion is nothing more than lip service to most of us today. Situation ethics is the rule of the day.

The President of the United States has affairs in the White House, lies on the stand and gets away with it.

And now we wonder why the police are so screwed up?

In this day and age, don't expect more from police officers coming on the job, look what they're coming from.

Sorry, had to jump on a little soap box.
