Thanks for your post. I was so excited about the disclosures on Iraq, I missed the end of the show, to get to the -puter, await fire-up;dial-up;FreeRepublic; that I missed the details on the east coast.

Yea, you have to commend THC for running those interviews.

Lake - a pathetic little weasel - adamantly refused to support Baer (he was on the ground in Northern Iraq) or the Kurdish revolt, not to mention the coup against Saddam that was to be executed simultaneously with the revolt by Iraqi military officers.

After both efforts ran out of steam, the CIA called Baer back to the U.S., where he immediately was investigated by the FBI (!!!) for "attempted assasination of a government official" (specifically, Saddam Hussein!).

You don't have to connect too many dots to realize that Anthony Lake and Bill Clinton directed the FBI to harrass a CIA Field Officer on criminal charges.

I recall at the time that the CIA took all of the heat for "abandoning" the Kurds. In fact, Baer was begging for help, and the Clinton White House shut him down.
