Maybe if she's ever disagreed, I'd agree with you.

Have you been around here the last 2+ yrs? nary a disagreement w/ the Pres, and an attack on those who dare to.

There was a great interview in this summer's American Spectator featuring Robert Bork. His take is that the profound weakness of the Conservative jurists is their fealty to precedent. Even bad precedent. The Marxists don't recognize precedent, they'll change ANY prior decision to fit the left wing political need of the day. So, over time, only the rulings and precedents espousing Conservative or Constitution-loyal ideology is overturned. Things get liberal pretty fast that way.

Apparently, you feel hat a disagreement with those who disagree with the President constitutes an attack. Pretty lame argument, in my opinion.

Yes..I've been 'around here' for almost 5 years. And you need to go back and read her comments at Post#174, I mean REALLY read what she is saying. We have more public, self-flagellation, than is healthy, imo. No wonder the 'public' has some of the erroneous perceptions of the GOP that they have.

Maybe M. Thatcher can comment on what Rush's concern is. She should be in the loop.

" ...it comes off as very unlovable sometimes."

Right. My beef with Rush is his source material. Today,he used a column by Ann Gearan as his accelerant to light the Bush bonfire. He lets himself get suckered by these liberal columnists time and time again. They write a column saying that Bush has betrayed conservatives and Rush treats the columns like gospel.Rush gives more credence to the columnists than he does to the Bush administration. Apparently, the Republicans in the Senate are backing Bush and the Democrats are angry about the filing. From today's Las Vegas Sun :
" Democrats say they plan to repeatedly confront Republicans with Bush's decision. On Friday, Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle of South Dakota requested a Senate resolution supporting the university in the Supreme Court case.

However, Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, the Senate's third-ranked Republican, objected to Daschle's motion, and Sen. Don Nickles, R-Okla., said Republicans were readying a resolution in support of the president.

"What the administration has done ... is try to focus on trying to provide opportunities for all without putting forward discriminatory impediments to people simply because of their gender, their ethnic background or their race," Santorum said.

Bush's decision to oppose Michigan's admission policies was the Democrats' major focus at the Friday morning forum."

Santorum and Nickles are supporting the President,Daschle,Levin and Hillary are angry-sounds like Bush did the right thing!

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I retain the right to disagree with you.

Not neccessarily, but I would find it remarkable that a person happens to agree with another person on every single issue in the world. I would find it more likely that the person bases her opinions on what the other persons's opinons are.

Me, I have no opinion on this matter. Rush might have a point. Then again, Bush continues to surprise me. Whenever I think he is drifting left, he always has another card to play that makes things right.

It's just that when somebody says "I'm standing by the President on this" and that person would stand by the president if he jumped off a bridge, there is no much credibility to the statement.

Thanks for the info on the source of Rush's rant.

You are correct....he DOES over-react to some columns.

I thought she made that pretty clear; she is supporting him generally, even though there may be issues she doesn't agree with him on.

A lot of people believe we all just march in lockstep with Bush; but if they read carefully, they'd see it's not true.

And I always find it hilarious that the very ones whining that "we" don't ever disagree with Bush are usually the ones who don't like him because HE doesn't agree with them! I've never been able to figure out why there is some kind of difference in their eyes between us and them (well, other than that "they" think that "they" are the "real" conservatives and we're not....LOL)

I think the President is a great man but there are times I disagree with him. Now take the tax cut and the economy I agree 100% with him and what he would like to do, so on those threads I have nothing but support for him. In fact I salute him. Its dashole that is at fault for the economy mess when he could of done something but oh no not a peep from that rat. So I attack dashole at all times over the economy issue.

This is a discussion board and people should be able to agree to a disagree, just my opinion.

All Rush does is have an opinion and look at what happens if he does.

God forbid if its not what people want to hear.
