I shall miss this man and his writings. He was a truly sane voice in today's mish-mash of ideas. If only more people would have paid heed. I never heard him play his music, but I believe he was good.

He will be sorely missed. He was a true defender of freedom and had the ability to write eloquently about it.

Why does the good Lord take people like this away from us? Perhaps the Lord is telling us that we must all take up the cudgels in the defense of freedom.

Thank you for posting this. Balint was a great friend and great man. I went to his memorial service. Balint's wife Barbara was his quiet but steady partner. Balint cherished this country, having escaped Nazism and Stalinism. And to the end, he voiced his hope and concern about America's future. His death is a tremendous loss.
