Funny him saying he should have been notified, and you tried more than once but were put off by the screener. He usually does do a good job of announcing our events if he knows about them.

I want to know how you all got that positioning prior to the protesters? I mean, they were crossing over barriers and got arrested. Where you already there before the fences? I don't get it.

One of the Code Pink ladies strutted purposely toward my place in line. She said she wanted to look at my buttons. Then she wanted me to give her one of my buttons. I like all my buttons, so I declined politely. The CP lady was miffed at my refusal. She would be happy to give me one of hers. I told her that I didn't want one of her buttons and she finally turned and muttered all the way back to her post.

As Kristinn, tgslTakoma and I were arriving from the VA building on Vermont Avenue, the fencing was being put into position. We walked through into the park before they had completed the fence line and put up the yellow tape.

We were allowed to stay partly because we numbered under 25. I heard that some of the protesting group members were trying to negotiate with the police so that some of their people could get inside the fences. The police said that no groups over 25 were allowed inside. Then, after the marching began, no one was really supposed to go in or out of the cordoned off area around the White House (though a few of our members were allowed to go to Starbucks for bathroom and warm-up breaks and then were allowed back inside because they were with the group with the flags). The chapter member not allowed in was on H Street on the protest side of the fencing and he definitely was not allowed inside.

Great Show. Amazing you could keep your cool. I was circulating among the ANSWER group, where the speaches were given, and came upon something disturbing. ANSWER had a booth entitled "Turn-in people here" The young lady asked me if I wanted to turn someone in and was ready to write the name down on her list. This sounds just like Germany under Hitler, where childern were encouraged to "turn-in" their parents.

Also one of the speakers representing S.Korea made the point that the youth of S. Korea sing songs that say USA "F..." you. I take great offense to this. We should demand that the Government of S. Korea issue an apology to the American people.

Are you aware that the leader of the Code Pink women is the same person who had to be ejected from a Senate hearing room where Secretary Rumsfeld was giving testimony a few months ago? She stood up (with another woman) directly behind Rumsfeld, knowing that they would be directly in the eye of the TV camera, holding a huge sign , and shouting some slogans.
