[history]
The Mexican government, despite concerns by U.S. law-enforcement authorities and immigration officials, is handing out thousands of identity cards to Mexican nationals in this country, including those here illegally.
The "matricular consular cards" cost about $25, are good for five years and can be obtained from a Mexican consular office with a birth certificate and a photo identification issued in either Mexico or the United States.

Sometimes it seems that Mexico is as much an enemy of America as any member of the Axis of Evil. I'm sure our overseas enemies wished they had a fraction of the destructive powers that Mexico has on America.

Out of curiosity, if a Mexican national is visiting the U.S. as a legitimate tourist (some do that, I believe) what is the proper procedure and what credentials would they be expected to have and produce?

"The active lobbying of local and state governments by consuls of foreign countries is, at least, a breach of international protocol deserving of a serious response by our government."
So that's what Castaneda meant:
[Mexico's foreign minister Jorge] Castaneda said Mexican officials will begin rallying unions, churches, universities and Mexican communities.
"What's important is that American society sees a possible migratory agreement in a positive light," Castaneda said. "We are already giving instructions to our consulates that they begin propagating militant activities -- if you will -- in their communities."

Mexican tourists need to apply for a visa at an American Consulate. When they pass through a Port of Entry they must present their passport along with their visa to the INS or Customs agent.Tourists have visa's classified as B-2. They are admitted for a minimum of 6 months.
The maximum initial period of admission is 1 year. Those that are classified B-2 can't work. They must have a foreign residence they have no intention of abandoning.

Also Form I-586 is given to Mexican nationals and can be used in lieu of a passport and nonimmigrant visa provided they stay within 25 miles of the border and leave within 72 hours. If they want to go beyond 25 miles and the 72 hour time limit they need to acquire form I-94. If you have ever arrived in the US from another country by aircraft you have probably filled out an I-94.

Mexico wants to dump its surplus populations and its criminals, mentally ill, and welfare-cheats into this country. Castro got away with it.

Why is the Bush Administration so hell-bent on importing cheap labor for business? Many businesses have fled the U.S. doing their own search for cheap labor. Is Bush trying to lure these businesses back to the U.S. with cheap labor?
. Or is he merely trying to import voters?

Out of curiosity, if a Mexican national is visiting the U.S. as a legitimate tourist (some do that, I believe) what is the proper procedure and what credentials would they be expected to have and produce? They would have both a valid Mexican passport and valid US visa and would have been issued an I-94 Arrival Record from the INS.
With these documents, they can obtain all the services a visitor is entitled too. Almost every State will issue a DL to a legal visitor with these documents.
Only an ILLEGAL ALIEN needs the "matricular consular card".

We American ought not just call for deportation of illegals but we should probably institute a propaganda campaign along with their deportation. That would be that Mexicans especially go back home and fix their sorry country instead of coming to America and into the hands of the anti-Christ Liberals. Signs should be springing up along the border (In Spanish) that illegals "Go home and fix your mother country). I certainly don't hate your average campesino, but I do dislike the Mexican elite and his counterparty here in America the professional Latino ethnic activist (reads traitor).
