Go Go Bush. Down Down Saddam.
I'm willing to take some heat for the following, but I think everyone needs to get some perspective. I currently have 26 very close friends serving in the Gulf and in Afghanistan and they're the ones who are going to have to bear the brunt of the hell of war. So let me make one thing perfectly clear, I support the President, I want Saddam gone, I want the destruction of WMDs in Iraq, but George W. Bush will not hear one round fired in anger during this war.
This isn't a fricken football game and instead of being fan-like in the adoration of the President, how about wishing the troops good skill, luck and Godspeed. They're the ones that deserve it most.
I was simply turning words on some damn Iraqi crack head whore democRAT rug munching protesting human target traitors, currently in Baghdad.
You imply that I don't care about my friends (as well as yours) - but, the truth be known is that I do.
Semper Fi.
No need for the sanctimonious lecture here. I see nothing but support for our troops on this website and all of us wish them well. Many of us here (myself included) serve or have served in the military ourselves. BTW, support for the president and support for the troops are not mutually exclusive.
They deserve our support to do what they are trained to do, to do it with utmost efficiency, and with awesome abrupt violence. In the long run that will save lives.
Your whimpering and whining is not "support." In the long run, such fecklessness will cost us incalculably more, and waste their lives needlessly.
What do you want him to do, mount his white charger and lead the bayonet charge into Baghdad?
Sheesh ... a President hasn't heard the sound of gunfire in a war that was going on while he was in office since Lincoln.
Or are you one of those people who believe that, unless you're immediately involved in the fighting, you have no right to an opinion or a leadership role?
