Not possible. Al Qaeda is Sunni, Iran is Shia. I heard it on TV.

Actually, they both have common enemies in the U.S. and her friends, so they probably would unite in a marriage of convenience, if nothing else. Besides, isn't Mughiniey (sic), one of the Hezbollah's upper crust, aslo affiliated with Al-Qaeda? ALso, didn't Khomeini originally believe in a eucumenial Islamic revolution uniting both SUnnis and Shi'ites?
