Ungrateful allies - France and Germany curse the sole superpower

I think it is about time that we stop referring to France as our ally. I mean, they really haven't been for fifty years. The Krauts I'll give another few years, and then it's off with their heads as well.

The line forms over there on the left .... we won.

You lost.

Screw France and Germany ... let's re-call every re-built brick.

”With their teeming populations of inassimilable Arab immigrants, Europe does not want to foment domestic unrest.”

Therein lies the crux of the matter, i.e., Militant Islam.

The question is: How can the French, having gotten themselves so far out on a limb, scramble back to the winning side, just before the bombs start dropping.

Even though these guys are masters of diplomatic flimflammery, I don't see how they're going to do it this time.

Yoe,

Yes, you are correct, that is THE major problem and everyone seems to dismiss it, preferring to pretend that this is a "religion of peace" when the fact remains that even the more moderate Muslims are NOT assimilating into any culture where they find themselves living.

Thanks for the few years. We´ll take our chance. In four years, we´ll have a conservative government!

Good article.

It has a single aircraft carrier, and it took $20-billion and 15 years to build.

What's the latest news on that carrier? I heard about a year ago that it was heading to the waters off Pakistan, or at least to the Mideast region, but I heard no news after that. Did another propeller blade fall off? Did someone try to do a load of laundry and rip the ship apart?

The aircraft carrier has rarely if ever sailed...and never more than two days from port....at least over past couple of years. At one point, they didn't have any aircraft that were capable of landing onboard...the older aircraft had been retired and the new ones had not yet been delivered.

Both 'Weasels' are old European heavyweights...neither can sustain any kind of major military operation. Both have major problems with their social programs and pension plans. Of all the European countries...they have the biggest problems currently with their economies...with threats of fines from the European Central Bank. The French have been fussing for several years to field the EU army...to drain NATO down so it doesn't exist. I think they finally found their partner and will make the end of NATO their top priority.

I'm wondering how many bellwether companies are on that list of firms that did business with Saddam. Could be pretty embarrassing if we published it. The Herms do at least a billion a year in sales. If I'm not mistaken, Volkswagen very cleverly announced (between Christmas and New Years when no one was paying attention) that they did some EU300Mn in Sales with Iraq. Wonder which other names are on there?

Every brief, but very precise! It says everything about the
french - german alliance, against the USA.
