That is why people are confused alright, but let me cut through the issues for you.

Iraq has supported terrorism. They support Al Quaida, they were involved in the TWA 800 bombing, the OKC bombing, the first World Trade Center bombing, 9-11 and Saddam openly braggs about providing funding for suicide bombers against Israel.

So, It's not about inspections or paperwork because Iraq is an issue whether or not they have WMD. It's not about nukes, but certainly that's a concern. Saddam want's it to be a civilization war, but it doesn't matter whether it is or not. It's not about oil, if Saddam wasn't a terrorist state, we wouldn't care. Its's not specifically about Israel, although the terrorism directed towards Israel is the easiest to point out the proof of, because of Saddam's open bragging.
