The is simplistic, but if it's totally ON THE RECORD what he's telling them, then they can't spin it another way because it'll be taped or on a transcript somewhere. I think this is very smart and we'll see if these people care more about the truth or about their opinions.

I live a charmed life. Of the anchors mentioned, I have only seen the work of one - Peter Jennings - and it was on September 11, 2001. Just after I learned the first plane had hit the first tower, I grabbed an old tv from a back room in my office. After fiddling with the rabbit ears, Jennings' station was the only one I could pick up. I watched the second plane fly into the second tower and was struck with a mixture of fear and patriotism. Big, burly contractors were in my office at the time watching the horror unfold with me. Some were crying. Jennings was describing the events unfold as the towers crumbled to the ground. (At the time I thought that 50,000 people were inside the buildings.) It was obvious this was the work of terrorists - America was under attack. And then Jennings had the nerve to insinuate that the President was running scared in Air Force One. I have never detested a person as much as I did Jennings at that moment.
