Condit's lawsuit is a joke. It seems to me that the first thing Dunne's lawyer's probably did is notice Condit's deposition. I doubt Condit wants to spend a couple days under oath answering quetions about his relationshiop with Ms. Levy and perhaps others.

Condit is a public figure, and as such, is open to criticism and less-than-complimentary opinions. These remarks by Dunne do not rise to the level of libel or slander, especially for a politician and congressman. Dunne was merely exercising his First Amendment rights to hold and express an opinion.
The standard of proof for libel regarding a public person is much higher than for an ordinary citizen.
Lin Wood is a sleazy lawyer who has made a career, of late, of shaking down publishers and writers for quick and easy settlement of these types of bogus and frivolous suits.
The Georgia Bar should look into this guy and his lack of ethics.
Look at his clients--John and Patsy Ramsey and Gary Condit. Shouldn't OJ be in there somewhere, too?
