Yes. Freep Pete Stark 2/22. Check his website for times and locations. I saw where he said, I'm glad we don't have these right wing groups in my District". A Freep could be a rude awakening.

"Man, I would love to participate in this, but saddly I live in the Mountains of Virginia...it's a bit of a drive, but I will be in prayer for you all, and that it goes well, anyone know of any counter-protests scheduled for Washington DC?"

We're going to NYC on 2/15 as part of a Nationwide Freep of peaceniks on that day. Houston and others will be Freeping that weekend. Join us if you can! Check out the New York thread -- you can find out about them all by clicking on the link to "operation infinite freep" on the front page of this Free Republic website.

If you can't make it to NYC this time, generally the DC chapter will be doing things in DC and you're always most welcome to join us! Anyone who follows the rules is!

Cool...I emailed Brian and a bunch of other people a Flyer. Wore my fingers out!

We still need lot's of people to CALL the on-air talent. Radio will reach an audience other than just us FReepers.

Blue....

Prayers are much appreciated. Like you, there have been many times I wished I could be at an event to support our folks... but the demands of work often get in the way (like today, running home for a coffee break, lol)

You can help us spread the word...

One way is to get our Support the Commander in Chief Petition out to as many folks as you can, via e-mail or Freepmail. Post in other forums too. Our website has the form and the reasons to sign. We're about half way to our goal of 250,000 by the end of March. See: http://www.patriotwatch.com/GWB-CIC.htm

Remind folks we're doing Talk Radio tonight with Mark Williams and they can listen live online, join in the chat roomand share ideas and suggestions. Mark drops in and chats during the show as does his screener, Kendall. Feel free to pass that link along as well. See: http://groups.msn.com/MarkTalkcomFreeSwim

Many times, it's the folks like you behind the scenes that make other's events more successful. For sure, come Saturday and Sunday, you now have some direct contact to hears the action as it happens on David's show and from reports that will be up here.

I best get my butt back to work... Cioa

Way to go
DURANGO...

That's exactly what I mean about the importance of the "backroom" behind-the-scenes kind of work that's needed. Thanks so much!

I'm being forced (grade participation) by my English professor to go to a Anti War Protest on Campus. I'm going to wear my God Bless America Shirt, my Michael Savage Hat. And I might bring some signs any suggestions?

Yeah, I asked the professor "what if we're for the war". She told me that I should be openminded to other views. I rolled my eyes but I'd say around five other people also said they supported the war and not one peacenick goof said a word. Eitherway I'll go to their stupid rally on Wednesday but they'll get more than they bargained for with me.

I told my sister to be around Wednesday so she can bail me out of jail if I get into a fight with the "pacifists". Seriously, if one of the limp wristed freaks comes at me they're going down.

Another sign idea that I got from Michael Savage. "Weather Forecast in Baghdad, 4000 Degrees and Cloudy".

But I think a "God Bless President Bush" sign will be the best. Most of them are just protesting because they hate the President. I'm p'd off that I don't have a Bush/Cheney shirt I would gladly wear that.

HI Dengar01,

That kind of forced indoctrination in our schools and universities really burns me up! Where's the ACLU when you actually need them? Having said that, you sound like you've got the right attitude. (In similar fashion, I might wear my NRA cap to the counter-protest this weekend!) I would try and avoid getting too worked up though, not that it's easy. But the satisfaction of seeing the crazed libs froth at the mouth, while you remain completely calm, cannot be overstated!

As for signs, the "Free Iraq" or "Liberate Iraq" ones tend to confound the lefties, because theoretically, they should be for that.

Good luck and give 'em hell!

See posts # 20 and #26 on this thread.

I spent a long time searching out possible protest poster ideas for our NC Patriot Rally.

Good luck out there in the west, FReep on!

Get ahold of your county Republican Party Chairman and get the word out to all of the precinct committee officers (PCO's). They'll help get out a lot of folks who don't ordinarily cuise this website, but who are itchin' to show their support for the Prez and the troops.
Go for it!

Will do. I'm going to contact Mike DeNunzio (who had a letter to the editor in today's Chron) and I've also contacted some of my colleagues at ChronWatch who are active in the SF Republican Party.

Hey folks,

More media outreach to report. I just did an interview over the phone with a reporter from the San Jose Mercury News! She was referred to me by Jim Robinson and she's going to do a story about counter-protests across the state this weekend. I'll post the link as soon as it comes out.

Now, time to contact the SF Repubs!
