Ever notice that most people who tout the nudist lifestyle tend to look better with their clothes on?

Palm Springs has lost its sophisticated culture identifiable even 20 years ago. It's moved down valley to Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, El Paseo-way.

The downward spiral began with city leadership expressing outrage of Palm Springs being associated with an Easter Break, college frat town, vacation spot, then migrating to a White Weekend, 'Coming-out' Mecca, now runover by rampant homosexuality. Palm Springs today is a seedy has-been town run by homosexuals and deviants.

From the 50s to the 70s, DHS was a pretty sophisticated community,...lots of Jewish folk from back east, and nicely set.

Today, every 1-3 years the city goes bankrupt. Half the time they have no police department or fire department, the other half of the time they're out attempting to raise usurious taxes but blow them on bureaucracy.

In recent years the Mescaleros and Bandidos tend to migrate their to compete for Methlab traffic from LA. Lots of hard working redneck Mexicans immigrate to the area, but insufficient tax base to keep it running. Today alot of Yuppie liberal Hollywood wannabe new Agers float in and out of more avante establishments.

Mix of liberal gays, Hispanics, and desert rats and a few east coast Jewish descendents managing inherited estates from afar.

Could be worse though.

LOL

Well if Grandpa was still there, that would not have happened. Unfortunately, he died quite some time ago. He owned Coffee's mineral baths, and was a Real Estate Magnet (he attracted good people to him...I don't have that quality unfortunately) there...yea I know I can't spell... Sad, but people change...

Palm Springs is Queer City, USA. It's one sicko town but retains enough Hollywood glitz to attract the tourist rubes who pay the steep prices and keep the registers ringing.

Just another little note( I was going to say an addum, but can't spell it and don't want a Gramma attack) in the 40's and the Fifties, the Hollywood Elite used to frequent the baths frequently, Kirk Douglas etc...In those days it was a nice town. They have three pools there, and as you know the mineral water comes out of the ground at about 120 degrees.
