Starving College Kids at Presidential Banquet

These kids had seats at the banquet so as to hear the speakers -- but alas! no food. We all dined as they watched!

As for Registered being taller, it's just an optical illusion. abner and I are just shorter than you imagined.

You are right, FTH, he almost signed that picture. Who saw it and can describe that "almost" mega-FReep? That would have been huge!

Sauropod got on your case for shaking Crassville's hand because he understands that shaking hands with someone "seals the deal."

I never shake hands with people who are out to destroy me and my way of life. No way am I going to knowingly shake the hand of a LIEberal/Socialist/Marxist Bastard! The only deal I wish to seal with that LSMB crowd is for them to exit stage left and leave me and my country alone! (I might shake their hand once I was assured that they were on their way out and were not returning, I suppose. I'd have to think on it for a while beforehand, though.)

Why should I? Good sportsmanship? This ain't about sportsmanship -- this is about our Constitution and our country. This here is serious stuff!

I am going to do everything I can to marginalize them and make them appear foolish and stupid. I am not going show them the respect that a handshake means. They are my enemy!

HST, if you choose to do so, that is your business. If you can stand the heat you are liable to get from 'Pod and I! LOL!

Sure it heeled -- it heeled left, right, forward, backward, up, down, and around and around the room, sort of -- all on command.

Except when I loaned the control box to an awestruck young man who wanted to buzz his buddy at the Young Republicans booth! His buddy slapped the blimp away from him and accidentally knocked my "Abolish the IRS bumper sticker" ballast off of the antenna. Too light, the blimp went to the ceiling and VoC and I had to retrieve it. No problem.

I was in the Navy because Navy pilots do it better!

The picture was by Registered -- Terry M and Clinton dressed up as pimps with a caption saying something like "DNC says... Show Us the Money!" I can't find it on a quick search of Registered's home page, but Bob J probably has it somewhere.

Diotima grabbed it off the FR booth while McAwful was giving an interview on Radio row under the watchful eyes of several dozen quietly snarling CPAC attendees, and asked me if I thought he would like it. I said, let's see if he'll sign it. Dio went straight to the CPAC security guys and told them what she wanted to do. They smiled serenely and placed her right in front of Terry's exit route. He had the picture in one hand and a Sharpie in the other when he stopped short, shook his head and handed it back. I took a picture on Bob J's camera right that might be posted later, and maybe Dio can fill in exactly what he said.

But don't worry about Terry. He's our guy.

Some of us were pretty worried that he'd be exposed and removed after the 2002 election turned into such a disaster for the Democrats, but that risk seems to have passed. With the help of our man at the DNC, conservative prospects for 2004 are looking good.

Don't tell the other side, okay?
