He said he went back to Clinton's memorial speech for the OKC bombing victims and he used the word "I" ten times, and additionally, the term "Hillary & I" five times.

May I digress from the main topic to say Mara has taken this opportunity yesterday and today to harp on Clinton going to OKC and what a "great job" he did. It's driving me up a wall.

May I further say that at the end of the roundtable she stated she did not believe clinton bombed anything due to Monica. Krauthammer said when it happened during Monica's Grand Jury appearance he granted clinton the benefit of the doubt. When it happened on the eve of the impeachment vote he changed his mind. At that, Brit crisply brought the panel to a close with those words lingering in the air.

Thank you for further highlighting the point.

A very moving statement by the president on our behalf and I am grateful that he so eloquently conveyed his and our sentiments at the service.

I cannot imagine what a lonely job it is. Always a crowd around, yet rarely anyone that can truly understand what it is you must do.

When I think of all that has happened, and how much it has stressed out every day people, I think about how much more President Bush knows, and what a heavy burden he carries with him each and every day.

Thanks for the picture, I've been waiting for Rintense's thread with pics but don't see it yet.

Does anyone have a diagram of the path of the shutttle from the west coast inbound? It may be helpful for people on the ground that may discover those missing pieces falling off earlier than Texas. I mentioned before the man from USGS seeing parts coming off over Bishop, California.

President just lent his hanky to the little boy 2 seats away from him. Than wiped his own eyes..

That was incredible. That really was. The POTUS handing you a handkerchief at your father's memorial. What a memory that will be.

This President never seeks glory and attention...he is there to comfort and represent the sorrow of the country.

When I first heard Bush was going I wondered, Why? It would take away focus from the family and the event.

Happily I see thats not the case. I have to assume Bush met with each family because I didn't see it. No photo ops with Bush and each family. No press conference.

Bush simply sits through the service. Does his speech, then walks away.

Perfect.

My heroes have always been astronauts...

Flight period amazes me. Everyday when I drive down the 8 here in San Diego heading towards the water I watch the planes take off. Also, there's nothing like sipping on a margarita at the Del beach in Coronado and watching Super-Hornets do touch and go's.

I have yet to see a shuttle flyby, but I hope to see that one day. Space travel is is one of man's greatest accomplishments.

I think I've seen the path, but don't have it. Sorry. If I get it, I'll send it to ya. I've been wanting that too, can you send it to me if you get it?...

Thanks.

I heard on the local news that they found a piece in Joshua Tree which is just up the hill from us. The sheriff showed a square piece of metal with a hole in the center that appeared scorched. Also showed a video from someone filming in Flagstaff Arizona.

I don't know how the shuttle could be seen over Bishop and then find a piece in Joshua Tree (seems too far south) and Flagstaff is north (more in line with Bishop).

Is there a thread on FR for reporting the pieces found in other states?
