Eid al-Adha (the Festival of sacrifice) falls on the tenth day of Zulhijjah, the final month of the Muslim year. Approaching the Eid, Afghan Muslims start buying sheep and goats to sacrifice for God and to provide the meat to the poor and relatives. Eid will start next week according to the Islamic calendar.
