Again our President gave a warm and heartfelt speech. It is evident on the pain on his face, where his heart is. Since the Sunday talk shows, the pundits have atempted to speak the words of Reagan when the challenger went down. It seems in the minds of the pundits, that only Reagan could deliver a meaningful address. Yes, it was a great speech, but this president was just as memorable. I watched MSNBC on purpose to see if Brian Williams and David (I love myself so much) Gerghan. Neither could muster up enough generosity to offer President Bush the compliments on his speech. WHy the constant comparison? Just another way to diminish this great man.

I thought both Williams and Gergen were very complimentary of President Bush. I normally can't stand to watch Williams - he just drives me nuts - but I thought his exchange with Gergen was okay.
But you are right the Reagan comparison is getting tiresome.
