just remember that a lot of us also "wanted" her to run for NY Senator thinking she'd be creamed and she ran...and won big time. She'd be the first female candidate and that will attract a lot of people

just remember that a lot of us also "wanted" her to run for NY Senator thinking she'd be creamed and she ran...and won big time. No offense, but the rest of America, pretty much with the exception of the two coasts, aren't exactly the liberal bastion that New York is. Also, too, look who she was running against. Nothing against Rick Lazio, but he was a lightweight. Now if Rudy didn't drop out and Hill managed to beat a formidable candidate like him big-time, then I'd be impressed. As her win stands, I'm not.

I'd also turn off a lot of people, too--let's just take a look at what this first female candidate is, if she should become that. An alarmingly ambitious, hard-as-nails, ice-water-running-through-her-veins, bull-dyke seeming, corrupt, power-hungry shrike. Yup, just the kind of female Americans want as their first female president.

God help the woman who tries to deny her this. By 2008, she might not be a senator anymore.
She'll wait to be drafted, avoiding the primaries and debates... entering like Joan of Arc!

Bush needs to run an African American VP, if Cheney's not going to run. I know they've said he will, but I think it's up in the air. (I like him, I think he's great--but I doubt he'll run again.) Anyway, the African American vote will swing it and will offset those women who don't think for themselves (unlike me, of course) and just vote for hell-ary because she's female. Plus, there are a couple of fabulous, high-profile African Americans on the cabinet...
