California: The league of tax-and-spenders (League of California Cities )

Five years ago, the League of California Cities took the lead in helping defeat then-Assemblyman Tom McClintock's bill to require voter approval for municipalities to take on debt by diverting property taxes to help fund private retail projects like auto malls.
