[history]
Washington -- Fremont Rep. Pete Stark, whose caustic comments directed at fellow House members have provoked anger in the past, took aim Thursday at President Bush's past problems with alcohol.
The comment came during a heated hearing of the House Ways and Means Committee as Democrats grew increasingly annoyed at Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson for not divulging more details about the administration's plan to provide prescription drugs to seniors through Medicare.

To paraphrase Reagan: 'Well, here they go again.' It seems like every month some Dem (Gore in Dec, Pelosi in Jan., now Stark) finds some excuse to bring up Bush's past history with alcohol.

So is this guy Stark just senile or what? No. He's pond scum.
To: Cincinatus
He is a DemocRAT!
To: Chi-townChief
And he's safely been in office for almost 30 years. You won't see Democrats like Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-ND) who are up for re-election in 2004 in Bush states taking pot-shots, but the safe liberal Dems will.

...so instead of providing "ideas" and constructive comments, Stark, as most emptyheaded food trough whoppers, can only provide silly offensive personal attacks...
May it come back to him a hundredfold!
To: Chi-townChief
Don't blame Stark...blame the Kalifornians for their continued support of his reelections.
Stark IS what Kalifornia is!

Did he mention the rapist clinton? Hmmmmm.Oh that's right, dems endorse those things when their people are in office. Clinton's name will always be associated with sexual harassment (which is OK as long as dems are the ones doing it), monica, waco, and NOW (who also likes sexual harassment and rape when it is against people they don't like).
Sick freaks.

Typical mean spirited liberal.

"Stark attributed the proposal as "fanaticism to force (Bush's) right wing Christian religion on the rest of the country.""We've all known that they believe / think this, but this a**hole actually comes right out and says it:
In the liberal Democrat mind, Christianity = right wing = fanaticism.
The lines are SO clearly drawn, folks.........

Just for kicks I'll throw in the Pelosi and Gore attacks:
NBC Nightly News (1/6/03) reported on a Democrat news conference where House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said, This is our jump start to the economy, as opposed to the President's plan of careening off the road recklessly, jeopardizing the long-term fiscal soundness for our country. [Hint, the Bush DUI attack right before the 2000 election]

According to the Washington Post:
"Book-hawking ex-veep Al Gore, appearing yesterday with wife and co-author Tipper Gore on WAMU-FM's 'Diane Rehm Show,' evangelized for decreasing U.S. dependence on Middle Eastern oil and criticized President Bush's plan to permit drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. 'It's like an alcoholic saying, "I know where I can get my hands on another, ah -- "' Gore said before Rehm cut him off with a question, reports The Post's Barbara E. Martinez. Surely that wasn't a veiled reference to the president's checkered past with demon rum!" Lloyd Grove, the Washington Post 12/10/02 (Yes, this is an excerpt)

For clarity, I am not happy w/faith-based charity supported by tax monies.
To: Cincinatus
You mean he's a democrat.
To: Gothmog
As far as I'm concerned, that attack makes Stark FREE GAME when it comes to digging up his entire past, looking for anything to smear him with.

He's an evil Dumocrat. But the interesting thing is that if a REPUBLICAN had said these things he would be referred to as a heartless, fiend that could care less about the addicted or unwed children. And most certainly a sexist pig.
But you notice none of that in the story, only a repeat of his past comments.
And who says the media isn't biased against Right.
