I have an Idea, we agree not to veto this IF those 1000 inspectors are accompanied by 200,000 U.S troops and Saddam agrees to hold free and fair elections, monitored by those troops. France and Germany can even send in 1 soldier each so they can say its "UN". Now how can the internaional community be against free and fair elections? thats the only new stipulation, right? If Sadaam doesnt agree to this than we go to war. It works and kind of throws it back in the faces of the French and Germans without makeing us look bad in the international community.

I am s-o-o-o tired of waiting ....can't we just get on with OUR business. Forget the UN and everyone else. They have no interest in us and it shows.

If I remember correctly this same thing happened with the last resolution, to the very end France and Germany were trying to find alternatives, but they everyone voted for the US version. The US has too much power and influence in the world for this to work.

I say call France & Germany's bluff. They obviously want us to veto the resolution to make us look bad. There is no way Saddam will go along with UN occupation of his country so no harm done except for any time wasted.
