Good! Powell disses the plan of Germany and France...says they are not dealing with the issue...just a diversion.

Good morning, Peach! Powell says if the U.N. does not live up to its responsibility, we will go without the U.N. Powell is now a hawk...

Powell: If the UN does not act, then it will be time for the US and other nations to step forward who see the dangers as clearly as we do to take action. This is not the time for the UN to step BACK from their resolve when they passed resolution 1441.

Good morning, Wait4Truth. I guess he's confirmed what we all concluded last night. War begins sometime after Friday.

Should have added - which timeline brings us closer to the no moon phase tactic you theorized would happen last night!

Powell basically saying Saddam is playing games and he stands by what he said in his report, no matter what Saddam is saying...re: the British dossier, it stands up well..was not used as an intelligence document, but a report. Absolutely stands by his report of last Wednesday. Russert doing his best to ask hard questions but Powell answering everything very well. He's doing a great job.

I'm recommending we give Saddam, precise and exact advance warning of our commencement of attack. Say...Feb..27, 12 noon, bright sunlight, local time. Be gone, or be dead.

Boldness would humiliate Saddam.

MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Former secretary of state Madeleine K. Albright, retired Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf

Well, there is one hell of a contrast....

The Cleaning Woman and the General. I wonder what Timmy will ask?

All these hard questions for Powell...wonder if Russert will see fit to ask old Madeline any hard questions....what do you think?

Powell says all options on the table regarding what we will use or not use in the war, including nukes if Saddam uses chem or bio weapons on us.

Hope to do this war quickly and may help to stabilize the Middle East...all aspects have been looked at as they prepared for this war. The President looked at everything.

I hope Schwartzkopf and Albright will be on together. When that old broad girdles up, there always needs to be a truth detector across the table from her.

Schwartzkopf was convinced by Powell's speech to the UN, and so, by the way, was Albright's spokesman, Jamie Rubin (Christianne Amanpour's husband). Schwartzkopf said on TODAY with Katie this week that he agrees action to remove Saddam is necessary.

Whether Albright is asked serious questions or not, she'll spin her way out and ultimately say nothing of substance. Guess as to whether she'll be asked a serious question: Yes (with optimism in my heart).

Didn't Schwarzkopf recently utter some dovey comments recently re: Iraq war?

Albright was one of the former officials given a briefing prior to Powell's report to the U.N. - should be interesting to hear what she has to say...I give her 2 minutes before she slimes President Bush in some manner. As to whether she will on WITH Norman, hard to say. I'm sure he would be glad to...let's see if she has the guts.

Powell is now a hawk...

Wes Pruden described Powell as a "Dove who has lately been consuming raw meat."
