Saddam does not have his literal finger on the proverbial trigger for the WMD's. It is up to his lieutenants to actually fire the weapons.

You are betting other peoples' lives on your assessment. I would not be so certain that if Saddam has the capability to assemble a working nuclear/biowar device, that he does not also have the means to install a biometric trigger for it.

But in any event, it's even more probable that any such device will be fired by means of a *dead mans switch* for which only Saddam will have the codes for delaying the unit's release. And any such devices could be anywhere in the world where international shipping containers are delivered.

Why do you suppose every available EOD and technical ordnance team was rushed to Kuwait City after the Iraqi troops fled that location? What do you think it was expected that they'd find and be working on there, and do you think we'd really have been told the true story if they did locate and disarm one?
