Personally, I'm just going to lie through my teeth on my graduate school application. I mean, if 99.9% of all the human genome can be traced to a skeleton found in the Olduvai Gorge of Africa, I'm pretty sure I can say that I'm an African-American. The thing is, some of these companies are f***ed either way in something like this. If they file the briefs, the right gives them hell. If they don't they get hell fromt he media and the left. Either way, they run the risk of losing money to competitors. So, they're going to minimize risks, they're going to pay the Danegeld - because for them, it's cheaper. Unfortunately, they risk the return of the Dane.

Furthermore, it's hard to see how this solves the problem. The real problem is the racial extortionists like Jesse Jackson. The problem is, they don't threaten physical harm in most cases. They threaten bad press. Physical harm is a lot easier to deal with than a nasty PR controversy.
