Yeah vampiro isn't bad neither is Ultimo dragon, and some of the wrestlers who haven't made it in the states like Chris Daniels(the fallen angel, curryman).

but I've flipped by a couple of times and it seems you can tell when HHH has just had his 'shots' recently.

The Rock too. I like Dwayne, but he goes from A more Cut up and hard physique, to a softer more rounded look, regularly.....

Pillman died of an overdose I think. I was swapping forum messages on AOL with him before he died. He was always in character.

I'm going to date myself yet again but......I went to only one Pro wrestling match in my life. The main card was Larry "the Axe" Henning versus Wahoo McDaniels. Well, Hennig found some brass knuckles in his knee pad when the referee wasn't looking and bloodied Wahoo terribly. The crowd wents nuts.....but ol' Wahoo found the reserve tank and whupped the Axe in a flurry of determination. What a show - - especially by the crowd.

Speaking of former AWA wrestlers, a friend of mine told me a couple years back that the German Claw Master himself, Baron von Raschke,

I saw him a number of years ago (back in the late 80's I think), he was working at the Minnesota Zoo in Eagan MN as a monorail driver or something like that.

That reminds me of the time someone told me that George
"The Animal" Steele was a substitute teacher at their school. Someone asked him and he said it wasn't true. He was a full-time teacher and a football coach.

I agree with Bret Hart; Vince does treat his employees like circus animals. Who’s looking out for their welfare? Who’s looking out for their families? More than any other profession, professional wrestling desperately needs to be unionized.

You are definitely right about the way Vince treats his employees. I don't know if I would use the "u word" (union) to describe the answer to these problems, though.

I would take the more conservative, capitalist approach and say that there just needs to be more competition. After Vince bought out Ted Turner's WCW a couple of years back, it looked gloomy and grim. But right now, the independent wrestling scene is outstanding. Some of the independents get on television and some don't, depending on the money they have backing them. But I will promise you that, if you look for it, there is plenty of good wrestling out there, not to be confused with McMahon's "sports entertainment."

Again, I will shamelessly plug IWA Midsouth Wrestling, here in the Louisville, KY area. They do scientific/amateur matches, highflying "lucha libre" style matches and hardcore blood matches. But what they don't do is soap opera crap. IWA even has a new t-shirt they unveiled last week that reads "Sports Entertainment Sucks!"

How many guesses do I get?
Wilbur Snyder ?

Or is it Bob Backlund ?

Or are we going back to the late 1800's with Farmer Burns ?

Uncle Elmer!!

I grew up watching Hogan, Hennig, and the rest of the big 1980s guys. Hogan is still the man!!

Does anybody remember when the One Man Gang came out as Akeem? Him and the Rev. Slick would come to the ring to the sound of Jive Soul Bro. heh heh

You got a point there about all those wrestlers dying liek Lyle Alzado. I wonder if steroids are still encouraged in pro-wrestling? At least McMahon can't be blamed for Jake "The Snake" Roberts who is going to let the meth or coke kill him first.

Still no correct answer on the "world's most scientific wrastler" --- Try this one: Who was the cousin (also a wrestler) of the "wrestler who made Milwaukee famous?" They also were tag team champions at one time!

My favories from that era were The Honkeytonk Man, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Superfly Snooka.

That was Dick "The Bruiser" something or other. The Crusher was Reggie Liskowski, I believe. I went to a bar he owned in Milwaukee one time.
