The left has long worked at disarming individuals using emotional arguments to politically sway public opinion. Also, the left effectively uses the courts to beat up on capitalists. Sleazy left wing lawyers attack financially successful firms regularly and are now reaping huge rewards. As soon as the left has completed the staffing of the judicial system with its own, they will have reached a milestone in their sustained efforts to take over operations of the state. What the Second Amendment supporters should do is play the Lefts' game when is suits them. Second Amendment supporters should demand conservative politicians to argue forcefully (in good rational form rather than loony left wailing) in public about the success stories where armed individuals have exercised their inalienable right to life. Remember the Virginia Law School incident where a student rushed to his car to retrieve a gun and then disarmed a lunatic on a shooting rampage? Most could not remember because no one tells the story.
The second thing supporters of the second amendment should do is start bringing lots of sustained lawsuits against the gun control statists whenever murdered individuals had been deprived of their right to bear arms. Sue people like Sara Brady and their organizations for depriving the dead and living of their constitutional rights. If the supporters of the Second Amendment don't use political or legal means to aggressively defend this right, they will lose it, or worse, have to wage an armed struggle.

We have to cut them off at the source, fighting one major battle rather than thousands of little skirmishes.
