Everbody says that. The cut used for show is the field cut. Poodles were developed as water retreivers. They retrieved birds and water fowl. That cut is designed to keep the joints warm in cold water.

They're not Labs, developed for water retrieving, but fishing nets not game, where part of the purpose of the coast was for the water to just cascade off.

I was rooting for the English Bulldog, he could take the poodle anyday.........LOL

I always feel sorry for the poodles too with those hideous cuts for the shows! I wonder why anyone thinks it is attractive? They are lovely animals when groomed normally!
