The job of the "Inspectors" is to merely certify compliance with a set list agreed terms. By "adding" up to 5,000 to thier number as the Germans propose, they are changing their task from certifying compliance to hunting for violations. Why should the Germans or the French be allowed to bargin away the UN/US 91 cease-fire--isn't that unilateral on their part? Don't they need the UN? Don't they need their allies for such action?

Why can't the media frame this issue with consistancy? Is it they don't want to?

The Fermans think that the 5000 will "contain" Hussein. Although I believe that this is another attempt at strengthening the the UN at our expense. It is probably time to exit the UN.

Remember three months ago? The liberal media mantra was "How can we attack Saadam? There is no proof he has WMD!

Now that there is proof, other excuses are being used.

I wonder if they will still invent excuses when their grandchildren are murdered by terrorists.
