Ah yes, the binding force of the universe.
Not to mention furnaces, cars, bicycles, motorcycles, trash cans, doors, etc, etc, etc.

I first heard that joke in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism, the medieval recreation group). We use a lot of duct tape in the SCA, which ironic considering the group's purpose, but duct tape is the perfect thing for covering a rattan sword, or for repairing the edging on a shield or for holding bits of broken armor together....
